Quota International of Wooster is one of 13 Quota clubs in Sixth District (Ohio) in a worldwide organization consisting of over three hundred clubs in thirteen countries.

The Wooster club was chartered in 1958 and has raised over a half million dollars for local services.

Shortly after World War I ended, Wanda Frey Joiner and four other women living in Buffalo, New York, gathered around a table and created the vision for a new service organization for business women and professionals.  On February 6, 1919, this organization was given the name Quota and founded on the ideals of the “golden rule” and the “sharing of both talents and responsibilities.”  Today, women and men of diverse occupations in 13 countries—Quota International’s dedicated members—are keeping Wanda Frey Joiner’s vision alive—changing lives, saving lives.

“I am grateful for all you have done to make our dream come true.  The basis of happiness is the love of something outside self and rises superior to all conditions.  I know now, as then, we will not fail in our devotion and service.”

---A timeless message from Wanda Frey Joiner, 1942
